Compare Targets And Charm Candidates

A useful camp needs more than one suitable monster. Compare the targets you want to fight with the charmable monsters available nearby. The two level bands are independent: a target band of 20-23 and a charm band of 24-27 lets you look for both groups without treating every level in between as a target.

Normal level filtering includes records whose ranges overlap your selection. A monster listed as 22-25 overlaps a search for 20-23, but some of its spawns may be higher than you want. Hard Level Limit instead requires the entire recorded range to fit inside the chosen band.

On the main search, matching targets and charm candidates are grouped by zone. Open the zone page to compare the rest of its population. A monster can have both tags when the bands overlap. Monsters marked No or Unknown for charm are not included solely because they match the charm band; they can still appear as targets.

Charmable means eligible according to the database's classification, not a guaranteed successful charm. These filters do not calculate charm success, encounter difficulty or experience rewards.

Find Beastmen Pets And Their Owners

Beastmen Pets brings together pet records across animal families. The Pet tag names the owner type, such as Goblin or Gigas, so you know which beastmen to look for rather than searching only for a rabbit or bat family.

When a pet has no separate mapped samples, its spawn map may be inherited from a likely owner in the same zone. That match uses the owner's family, role and level range. For example, Gigas bat pets favor Giant Sentry as an owner. The map labels an inherited area explicitly: it is a guide to finding the owner, not evidence of independently measured pet spawns or an exact pet position.

Owner identification can be incomplete when several similar beastmen share a zone. Confirm the pet and owner in game before relying on a route, and report mismatches with both monster names and the zone.

Spawn Counts Are Not Map Dot Counts

A mob record represents a named monster in one zone. Its Spawn Points field is the recorded population count, when available. A missing count stays Unknown; it should not be read as zero. The field is not a live count of monsters currently standing in the zone.

Maps use FFXIDB sampled positions with spacing between displayed markers. Red, blue and green compare local sample density for that monster: they do not measure current monsters, kills per hour or respawn speed. Displayed marker counts therefore do not equal the Spawn Points field.

Use the overlay to narrow the area you search, then compare the map with the zone's terrain and check the area in game. A map can be absent because samples have not been matched, not because the monster has no spawns. Forest Hare in East Ronfaure is one example of the sampled-map presentation.

Read Drop Rates As Reference Data

The drop table separates normal drops, crystals and steal items. TH0 through TH4 are Treasure Hunter reference tiers where values are available. Imported percentages primarily come from LandSandBoat reference data, with modeled Treasure Hunter adjustments; they are not measured drop rates for your retail or private server.

A dash means no rate was sourced for that cell. It does not mean a zero-percent chance. Steal entries should not be interpreted as normal drops, and blank steal rates do not establish a Treasure Hunter effect. Open an item to compare its known source mobs and their zones before choosing where to farm it.

Era, Sources And Corrections

This is an unofficial planning reference centered on level 75-era FFXI records. HorizonXI-only monsters are optional and separately tagged. Contemporary wiki pages can describe later retail changes, and private servers can differ from both archived records and emulator reference data.

Additional Sources on a mob or item page provide further checking, not a claim that every linked page confirms every field. HP and special notes appear only where information has been added. Unknown respawn timers stay unknown; any displayed common defaults are suggestions to verify, not confirmed timers.

Data references include FFXIclopedia, BG Wiki, FFXIDB, LandSandBoat and the HorizonXI Wiki. For a correction, send the mob name, zone, server or era, and a supporting source through Contact.
