Beastmen Pet Leveling

Choosing A Camp

Beastmen pets offer a different solo route because their HP is often lower than that of ordinary monsters. The owner is the real hazard. Choose a camp around its patrol and a clear pull, not just the pet's level or the number of dots on a map.

The starting level is your character's level; the goal is the level you want to reach. A 25-to-30 route plans fights at levels 25 through 29, then ends when you reach 30. Community reports provide the camp locations; the planner narrows pet choices using recorded levels and keeps unsupported stages visible.

Job Combination Examples

All 15 era main jobs have distinct fighting and recovery notes. Camp selection follows the researched location and level band; job advice is an adaptation, not a claim that every combination can solo every listed target.

Levels 1-18 are preparation, not researched pet camps. Pet hunting starts at 19. Level 43, levels 61-63 and levels 72-74 use explicitly marked conditional camp extensions; check live XP and consider a group when progress slows.

Classic Camps

Classic level 75-era planning. Later retail systems such as Trusts, Grounds of Valor and modern teleport shortcuts are not assumed.

19 to 23: Delkfutt's Lower Tower

First floor, H-9 / G-10

An entrance-side pet camp keeps the escape route relatively short. A favorable owner position matters more than finding the first bat you see.

MonsterRecorded LevelOwner to look for
Gigas's Bat21 - 23 Giant Sentry

Getting There

Enter from Qufim Island. Scout the first-floor H-9 and G-10 rooms before going upstairs.

Watch For

Gigas and ordinary bats make careless pulls dangerous.

FFXIclopedia: Black Mage pet solo camps · Monster pet pulling and XP

22 to 25: Delkfutt's Middle Tower

Floor 4, I-10

A higher-floor alternative after the entrance bats. Plan the return route before committing to the climb.

MonsterRecorded LevelOwner to look for
Goblin's Bat23 - 25 Goblin Pathfinder

Getting There

Climb from Lower Delkfutt's through floors 1-3 to the transfer device; on floor 4, locate I-10 using the floor map.

Watch For

Other Goblins can obstruct a clean pull.

FFXIclopedia: Black Mage pet solo camps · Monster pet pulling and XP

22 to 27: Ranguemont Pass

G-7

A mid-20s option with several approaches to the camp. At the lower end, losing one spell to a resist can change the fight substantially.

MonsterRecorded LevelOwner to look for
Goblin's Bats25 - 27 Goblin Pathfinder

Getting There

Enter from East Ronfaure. Pass the guarded door and navigate to G-7 with Sneak and Invisible available.

Watch For

Stirges aggro and Seeker Bats can link. Leave if no suitable owner is present.

FFXIclopedia: Black Mage pet solo camps · Ranguemont Pass · Monster pet pulling and XP

26 to 30: Yhoator Jungle

Northwestern G-8; G-7 alternative

A practical late-20s continuation if jungle access is already unlocked. Give yourself room to finish the bee without drawing its owner.

MonsterRecorded LevelOwner to look for
Goblin's Bee28 - 30 Goblin Pathfinder

Getting There

Travel from Kazham through Yuhtunga into Yhoator. The usual airship route requires a Kazham Airship Pass. Locate G-8 on the jungle map.

Watch For

Yhoator Wasps can link at the G-7 alternative.

FFXIclopedia: Black Mage pet solo camps · Yhoator Jungle · Kazham airship access · Goblin's Bee and its owners · Monster pet pulling and XP

28 to 31: Bibiki Bay

H-6

An alternative to the jungle route when you are already near Mhaura. Watch a complete patrol before choosing where to pull.

MonsterRecorded LevelOwner to look for
Goblin's Rarab29 - 31 Goblin Pathfinder

Getting There

Enter Bibiki Bay from Buburimu and follow the right-hand side toward H-6.

Watch For

Nearby rabbits can link; fog can bring a magic-aggro bomb.

FFXIclopedia: Black Mage pet solo camps · Bibiki Bay · Monster pet pulling and XP

31 to 35: Attohwa Chasm

L-8

A next-step camp after the late-20s options. The longer approach makes preparation and an exit plan especially worthwhile.

MonsterRecorded LevelOwner to look for
Goblin's Gallinipper31 - 34 Goblin Pathfinder

Getting There

Reach Attohwa through Maze of Shakhrami; navigate to L-8 with the area map.

Watch For

Nearby Gallinippers can link, and scorpions or coeurls can interrupt a pull.

FFXIclopedia: Black Mage pet solo camps · Maze of Shakhrami · Monster pet pulling and XP

32 to 37: Misareaux Coast

I-6 / I-7

A sheep-pet alternative for the mid-30s. Watch the owner and surrounding wildlife before committing to a pull; use it as a choice, not a mandatory detour.

MonsterRecorded LevelOwner to look for
Gigas's Sheep34 - 36 Gigas Warwolf

Getting There

Unlock Tavnazia access through Chains of Promathia, then reach Misareaux from the Safehold. Scout I-6 / I-7 with the zone map.

Watch For

Sheep can sleep you and nearby Gigas can interrupt recovery. Confirm mission access before traveling.

FFXIclopedia: Black Mage pet solo camps · Monster pet pulling and XP

34 to 37: Sanctuary of Zi'Tah

Outpost-side Goblin patrol

A short alternative when the other mid-30s camps are occupied. Judge the pet's live check before testing your damage; the recorded tier is wider than the player band.

MonsterRecorded LevelOwner to look for
Goblin's Leech35 - 40 Goblin Trader

Getting There

Reach Zi'Tah through Meriphataud Mountains. Scout the outpost-side patrol with the map; an outpost shortcut requires prior access.

Watch For

Avoid golems when casting and watch night bats. A high-end leech can be substantially harder than the weakest one in the same record.

FFXIclopedia: Black Mage pet solo camps · Monster pet pulling and XP

36 to 41: Altepa Eastern Desert

F-8 / G-8 valleys

A desert continuation with a clearly identified owner. Test a single isolated spider before treating the valley as a reliable circuit.

MonsterRecorded LevelOwner to look for
Goblin's Spider38 - 40 Goblin Trader

Getting There

Reach Eastern Altepa via Korroloka or an unlocked travel route. Locate F-8 / G-8 using the desert map.

Watch For

The owner can turn during a long cast. Scout for manticores, undead and a clear retreat before pulling.

FFXIclopedia: Black Mage pet solo camps · Zeruhn Mines connections · Monster pet pulling and XP

39 to 44: Castle Zvahl Baileys

Reported camp band ends before player level 43. Levels 43 through 43 are a conditional extension based on pet levels, not a confirmed recommendation.

Map 2 lower trenches, H-6 / I-7

A bat-pet continuation before Cape Teriggan. Use the floor map to separate the lower trench from the corridor you intend to recover in.

MonsterRecorded LevelOwner to look for
Goblin's Bats40 - 42 Goblin Trader

Getting There

Travel through Beaucedine and Xarcabard to Castle Zvahl. Navigate to the lower trenches on Map 2 with both travel protections ready.

Watch For

Floor differences matter. Demons, eyes and Goblins can block retreat; inspect the corridor rather than assuming the nearby map marker is reachable.

FFXIclopedia: Black Mage pet solo camps · Goblin's Bats · Monster pet pulling and XP

44 to 50: Cape Teriggan

Outpost vicinity; F-6 / F-7 tunnel alternative

A rabbit-pet route with two areas to scout. Check the owner's full patrol and leave enough room for a resisted cast or a missed finishing attack.

MonsterRecorded LevelOwner to look for
Goblin's Rabbit48 - 50 Goblin Shepherd

Getting There

Travel through Western Altepa and Kuftal Tunnel to Cape Teriggan. Do not assume the Gustav exit can bypass the cliff, or that an outpost warp is available before level 50.

Watch For

The approach crosses dangerous monsters. Do not borrow another player's claimed pet or cast from a position covered by the owner's patrol.

FFXIclopedia: Black Mage pet solo camps · Monster pet pulling and XP

49 to 55: Gustav Tunnel

Lower tunnel approaching the Goblin and crab room

A higher leech tier follows the Cape rabbits. Test damage and recovery at the entrance to the camp rather than assuming an Ancient Magic one-shot.

MonsterRecorded LevelOwner to look for
Goblin's Leech53 - 55 Goblin Shepherd

Getting There

Enter Gustav from Valkurm Dunes and follow the floor map toward the downward tunnel leading to the Goblin and crab room.

Watch For

Crabs detect sound and undead can make the far end unsafe. Resist risk and weather matter; leave MP or damage capacity for a finish.

FFXIclopedia: Black Mage pet solo camps · Monster pet pulling and XP

49 to 55: Ifrit's Cauldron

Western entrance, H-8 tunnel

A bat-pet alternative for an occupied Gustav camp. Access and owner placement may make it less convenient than the level match suggests.

MonsterRecorded LevelOwner to look for
Goblin's Bats53 - 55 Goblin Shepherd

Getting There

Enter Ifrit's Cauldron from Yhoator G-6, then navigate northwest toward the H-8 tunnel using the correct floor map.

Watch For

Dodomeki and Goblins can obstruct pulls. Watch bombs and magic-aggro monsters on the approach; do not generalize a safe casting spot to the whole zone.

54 to 59: Pso'Xja

H-10 Beaucedine tower, level-60-cap route

A tower-specific bat camp, not a recommendation for every Pso'Xja entrance. The database records 58-61; the Horizon report lists 57-63, so confirm the live tier before pulling.

MonsterRecorded LevelOwner to look for
Goblin's Bat58 - 61 Goblin Veterinarian

Getting There

Enter the H-10 tower in Beaucedine, the level-60-cap entrance near Batallia. Follow the floor map to I-8 and scout the drop and adjacent hallway before descending.

Watch For

A one-way drop and trick door complicate recovery. The practical camp has limited owners; do not travel assuming it will be free. Prepare for magic aggro on the approach.

56 to 64: Newton Movalpolos

Reported camp band ends before player level 61. Levels 61 through 63 are a conditional extension based on pet levels, not a confirmed recommendation.

D-11 intersection

The Foreman owns the lower Newton bat tier. Our single bat record combines tiers; this camp limits it to the owner's sourced 61-64 range.

This owner's pet tier is 61-64; the database's combined monster record also contains other owners' tiers. Use the owner-specific range below, not the whole record.

MonsterOwner's Pet LevelOwner to look for
Goblin's Bat61 - 64 Goblin Foreman

Getting There

Enter Newton from Oldton I-12 and scout the D-11 intersection using both zone maps. Take the correct connection instead of following a marker through a wall.

Watch For

Keep the Foreman's pet separate from the Headman's higher tier. Moblin patrols and gates can make a failed pull expensive.

BLM / NIN Fighting And Recovery

Use single-target spells and budget for a resist plus a finishing cast. Test actual damage before choosing a spell sequence; Ancient Magic is not automatically the fastest or safest option.

Ability access for levels 25 to 30
  • Utsusemi: Ichi: level access is available at the start. Learn the scroll and carry Shihei; shadows do not prevent every hit.
  • Sleep: level access is available at the start. Only use it if learned; a resist must leave you another response.
  • Warp: level access is available at the start. Only use it if learned; an interrupted cast is not an instant escape.
  • Freeze: not available during this route; requires BLM 50.

Spell access assumes the scroll is learned. A milestone at your goal level belongs to the next route, not this one.

BLM job reference · NIN job reference · Utsusemi: Ichi · Black Mage abilities

Level 25 Preparation Example

NIN support starts at level 12, assuming it is trained to the support-job cap.

Identify the owner before targeting its pet. Wait for the owner to face away, use a single-target pull, then move to a scouted recovery area. Avoid area attacks and leave the owner alive.

Pets can link with ordinary monsters of the same family. A small HP pool does not make their owner's patrol safe, and the database spawn count is not a promise of pets currently available at the camp.

For BLM, test your damage with a controlled pull. Budget MP for a resisted spell and a finishing cast; do not assume a one-shot kill or guaranteed Sleep.

Pack Before Leaving

  • Silent Oils and Prism Powders for travel when your available spells cannot cover Sneak and Invisible.
  • An exit plan, an appropriate recovery item, and a usable Reraise option where available.
  • MP recovery supplies and your next learned spell scrolls where affordable; reserve MP for a failed pull.
  • Shihei for learned Utsusemi spells, plus the correct tools for any other ninjutsu you intend to use.
  • Food and recovery equipment suited to your magic accuracy, damage and resting MP. Keep your relevant magic skills current.
  • Carry Shihei for Utsusemi: Ichi if you have learned the spell.
